Cliffys Emporium offers the largest range of local and regional produce, with an emphasis on seasonal and organic. We support the people who produce the food we eat and turn what we receive into interesting soups, salads and dinners every week. Our vegetables come from the organic and almost organic farmers (those that are still in transition) from around our region and sometimes when a friend or customer has a windfall we also have the pleasure of using their produce as well, often returning the favour with a jar of quince jelly or pickled tomatoes or perhaps a barter for something they need in exchange for their produce.
We enjoy the look on peoples faces and the knowledge that they share with us when they recognise an old favorite,it may be quince jelly, pickled onions, bread and butter pudding,or a fresh pine mushroom picked that morning and displayed in the shop till used.At Cliffys we tweek peoples imagination; some with treasured memories and some with new ideas with old favs.
Cliffys is a treasure trove of tasty surprises for home cooks, gift shoppers and casual diners alike.Choose from our sumptuous range of smallgoods, oils and preserves, sweets, fine regional wines and beers.
Settle in to the cushion club for a slow breakfast or a long leisurely lunch with a glass of wine, pot of tea or a cup of freshly ground coffee. On a warm day you can sit under the verandah and watch the colours turn on the grape vine.
Small, cluttered and terrific, Cliffy's combines cafe and larder in an atmosphere of eclectic madness - pink wall, masses of colourful cushions, chandeliers and old Persian rugs with the menu written on paper bags. But it works. So does the simple country food which ranges from good charcuterie to a lamb pie.
