Regarded as one of the prettiest settings in the region, Ellender Estate is just ten minutes from Daylesford in the hills surrounding Glenlyon.
The 40 acre property incorporates 9 acres of premium vines predominantly Pinot Noir and Chardonnay with smaller plantings of Sauvignon Blanc and Pinot Gris varieties. Viticulturist and Winemaker Graham Ellender, aims to produce a range of quality wines to reflect the Estate's and Daylesford's unique character and his individual style.
There is something special about tasting wines at their source and talking to the passionate owners involved in the growing and making of wine. Wines currently available Chardonnay 2006, Pinot Rosé 2008, Pinot Noir 2006, 'Red Nelle' Shiraz 2002 and 'Ellender' Méthode Champenoise.
Cellar door open weekends and Public Holidays 11.00 am to 5.00pm, or weekdays by arrangement. Ellender Estate provides the perfect winery escape - unwind on the terrace overlooking the lake with a regional tasting platter or a wood-fired pizza and a glass of wine. The cellar door also carries a selection of DMP provedore lines and hampers.
