Established in 1980, Captains Creek Organic Wines is a family-owned and operated vineyard on a mixed organic farm at Blampied, near Daylesford, in the Central Highlands of Victoria.
Certified organic (NASAA), the vineyard produces grapes that are processed without the use of synthetic pesticides. Only the best fruit is used to produce Captains Creek Organic Wines.
The owners, Doug and Carolyn May, make handcrafted, premium quality wines from the Burgundian grape varieties Chardonnay and Pinot Noir. While small open fermenters are used for the Pinot Noir, the Chardonnay is barrel fermented. Traditional winemaking techniques add complexity and depth resulting in full-bodied, well-balanced wines with classy but subtle oak characters. Along with Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, the Mays also produce a highly reputable Methode Champenoise, Unoaked Chardonnay, Rose and Verjuice.

- Lunches now served 12-3pm on Saturdays and Sundays featuring fresh organic produce from Captains Creek and surrounding farms. Homemade cakes and espresso coffee served throughout the day. For bookings please call ahead.

- Cellar door now open for wine and Goldfields Farmhouse Cheese tastings and sales Friday to Monday 11am til 5pm
- Enjoy wines by the glass, regional beers and ciders in the wine bar
- Seasonal organic fruit and vegetables grown on the Captains Creek farm are available for sale, as well as other local/regional organic produce.
Wines also available through mail order and from selected retail outlets in Melbourne and Central Victoria.
