Richard and Lia Dobson are growers and processors of Certified Organic pre-mixes, fine herbs marketed as TFO Herbs, elderflowers and elderberries. Their property and commercial kitchen are certified A Grade Organic with NASAA.

After the Organic Sunrise Foods kitchen was constructed in 1999, Richard and Lia began sourcing Australian organic ingredients to make their range of pre-mixes.

All the pre-mixes are highly versatile. For example, the Falafel Mix can be used as a coating, as flavouring in burgers and rissoles, or mixed into a crumbing mix.

Following is the enticing range of Organic Sunrise Foods pre-mixes:
Falafel Mix: Richard and Lia tested no fewer than 10 other varieties before they came up with a recipe for this mix. A special heating process brings out the full flavour from each of the ingredients which include a mixture of ground chickpeas, soy beans, wheat grains and blended herbs and spices.

Gluten-Free Falafel Mix: Developed to meet the needs of coeliac people and others who are wheat-intolerant, the wheat and plain flour have been replaced with rice and maize flours.

Sunflower & Almond Muffin Mix: A delightful mixture of almond, sunflower seeds, oats, flours and selected spices, producing a great, full-flavoured muffin. Add chocolate, blueberries, banana or any other fresh or dried fruit… and they'll disappear!

Gluten-Free Buckwheat Pancake Mix: Light, sweet and scented with vanilla beans, this mix is suitable for gluten-intolerant people. Fantastic to eat with warm blueberries, apple and natural yoghurt.

Buckwheat Pancake Mix: A blend of buckwheat and wheat flours, scented with vanilla beans and sweetened with raw sugar to make a Russian blini-style pancake.

Burnt Butter Biscuit Mix: This makes an old-fashioned shortbread biscuit or shortbread slice. Nuts sprinkled over the top, before baking, turns it into a sensational roast nut shortbread.

Dutch Buttercake Mix: A truly wonderful, rich, spicy cake. But beware - it's highly addictive!

Gluten-Free Biscuit Mix with Sunflower and Almond: A blend of gluten-free flours, this mix can be moulded into shapes or used as a base for slices or cheesecakes. Even yummier with the addition of nuts, dried fruit or coated in chocolate.
