The garden at Annie Smithers is on an acre block. It is loosely based on the principles of one man, one acre. From our acre of land, the incredibly talented Simon Rickard coaxes and cajoles tiny seeds into magnificent produce. The garden can supply the restaurant up to 90% of its produce at specific times of the year.
Each morning we greet the garden and pick what fruit and vegetables are available and collect the eggs. The produce then goes to the restaurant and becomes that day’s lunch and dinner.
The dishes are based loosely on classic French bistro food, but once Annie, Daniel and Holly have finished their work, things can often have a quirky or inspirational twist.
